I’m so pleased with how the business is growing. I have only been in business for around 21 month’s but I am slowly started to get regular customers, some really great feedback and regular wedding work. This feels likes such an achievement when I think I only have between 16-20 hours spare each week if I’m lucky. My aim when setting up Envision Photography was to build up slowly so that when my daughter’s gets into full time education I should have enough work coming in to allow me to also go full time, which looks likely. This will also hopefully mean that I will be able to get finished photographs back to customer’s quicker meaning that studio sessions should be completed in days not weeks and weddings in 2-3 weeks rather than 4-6 weeks, or At least that’s the plan. I would like to thank everyone for their continued support and would really appreciate you all continuing to spread the word about what I do etc.
Recently I have had a stand at the Hurstmonceux wedding fair which went really well. I have yet to get a booking from it but have received some enquiries so fingers crossed. This was my first wedding fair so was not sure what to expect but now I am looking forward to next years event and have already started planning my offers.

I am also now advertising with UK Bride so things are looking good in that respect too. I already have 3 wedding bookings for next year but hope to start getting a lot more as I just love weddings.

I am very keen to continue lots of work with charities in the future after some very successful fund raising events in the past few month’s including a fun day in aid of Jack's Dream, a charity prom in aid of  meningitis and epilepsy charities, and continued work for my local Friends of Sure Start group.

All in all I am just so happy being able to be a working mum and show my daughter that anything is possible if you really want it. Again thank you to everyone who I have worked with in the past (or helped me) and to all those I will work with in the future.

I'm just very quickly popping in to say I am still around but due to currently being very busy, and getting more bookings and enquiries by the day, I have not been able to find enough time to update everyone with what I have been up to. I have a few more weeks of full on hard work so it is unlikely I will be able to tell you all fully about all the fun and exciting things I have been working on. Just to keep your interest though I have lots of new pictures to upload, some interesting events I have been to to tell you all about and some great and exciting new products in the pipeline. I also have manage to free up some more work hours (mainly down to my daughter getting more hours at nursery), so I can now take more bookings in the run up to Christmas, which is lucky as I was running out very quickly.

The new school term has now well and truely started but how happy were you with your child's school photograph's? Were you able to have your children photographed together? Were you also able to join?

Envision Photography will be at a Fun Day on the 18th August offering mini photo shoots for £25. £5 of which goes back to Jack's Dream. You will recieve up to 20 fully edited images on disc for you to print or email.

Thank you to Sarah who recently helped me to photograph the lovely wedding of Jo and Steve, and thank you to the happy couple for inviting a work experience student to join us all on your big day. Sarah took some stunning images and I'm sue she'll go far in this industry.

If there are any photography students out there then I often have the chance to invite one or 2 along to various customer bookings so please let me know if your interested and the dates you are availible.
I have a wedding on the 9th June 2012 that I would like a student/work experience member to join me on. You must have your own transport and camera equipement. There is no payment but you will be given written permission from the customer to use the images you take in your portfolios.

  I have been super busy this week photographing lots of different events. I had a great time catching up with some regular customers and meeting some new customers too. Yesterday I spent the day photographing all the Pirates and Princesses who turned up for the Friends of  Sure Start fun day in Egerton Park. I was very busy all day so hopefully I will be able to raise lots of money for the organisation.
  I am looking forward to showing you all some of the fab pictures I have been working on. Firstly I had a catch up with little Leyla who used her third session in her bump to baby shoot. This busy lady definately knows what she wants as she didn't like my studio but prefered running round in the garden :) This gave me a good excuse to find some new ways to edit my images and I now have lots of fun add-ons to my photo shop suite. Also watch out for some fun new storyboard layouts and frames.
  I also spent a lovely sunny evening at a wedding reception which was brilliant. I love a party and its even better when I am invited to bring my camera. I am really looking forward to editing this set of images.
 My third visit of the week was little George, another bump to baby customer. This session was bound to be a good laugh as George is soo smiley and happy. He is so grown up now compared to his newborn shoot images, even though he is only 6 months old.
 The images I am currently working on are the images taken at the Sure Start Pirate and Princess party at Egerton Park yesterday. The sun was out which was great, although also slightly challenging for my lighting. The images will be on the FOSS website either today or tomorrow if you would like to pop over and check them out.
In the mean time here is a sneaky peak, this is my own little lady posing as a pirate :) Including a dirty face and scrapped knees from all that digging for treasure...

   My next exciting job is another wedding. A lovely beach wedding on Saturday, I can't wait.

                  I know its been a while since I've been on but things have just gone manic......I LOVE IT!!! :D
I have been working mainly with one family in perticular this month with a birthday, wedding a sudio shoots to do. I have also been busy planning for the Pirates and Princess party I will be attending on the 1st August, sounds fun hey?! I have started getting quite a few 2012 wedding bookings now so have also been busy going round meeting the couples and seeing if we 'click'.....very important. Of course I also been trying my best to fit in some fun time with my daughter. So as you can see things are really taking off now.
To make everything even better we are currently nominated for 2 wedding awards (see the About Envision page).
  I'm also looking forward to september which see's me doing 2 weddings, a charity event, 21st birthday party all the way over in Wales and more pet photography sessions, all alongside the standard studio photography. I don't dare hope how busy Christmas will be, as yet I only have some pet photography and a studio session booked but if last year was anything to go by there will be lots of last minute Christmas shopping going on.
    On a personal note I have also been busy starting plans for my own wedding. We have set a date.....1st August 2013, and booked the registry office. There's lots of other plans too but nothing booked yet, hope to do that in next month or so. If you would like to follow my wedding planning journey you are welcome to do so HERE.
