]]><![CDATA[VERY exciting announcement (not strictly photography related)]]>Fri, 09 Mar 2012 12:25:56 -0800http://www.envisionphotographers.com/1/post/2012/03/very-exciting-announcement-not-strictly-photography-related.htmlI think it is about time I announce to the world that I am expecting baby number 2 :) I am currently 20 weeks pregnant meaning my due date is the end of July. I am very excited to have a new addition to our Envision Photography family and another little model to pose for me lol.
I have asked a friend photographer of mine who often works with me to photograph my baby bump in April so I will be posting my own bump to baby session/s images here for anyone who is interested.
Also just so everybody is aware I will not be taking on any photography work in late July and August and will only be taking on minimal bookings from September through to 2013. This doesn't in anyway affect anyone who has currently booked photography by myself but may mean I bring along a little helper ; )

]]><![CDATA[A job with a difference :)]]>Sun, 26 Feb 2012 09:46:53 -0800http://www.envisionphotographers.com/1/post/2012/02/a-job-with-a-difference.htmlI thought I would pop on a quickly rave about a job I was privileged enough to do a few weeks ago.
I was contacted by a lovely lady from the Cinnamon Trust wanting to know if I was available to following day to do some outdoor/location photograph's, luckily I was :) She said she works for the Cinnamon Trust which is a national charity giving help and assistance to elderly people with pets. what she wanted me to do was photograph a local young lady who had just been award their Young Volunteer of the Year Award 2011. I was more than happy to do so and luckily managed to miss the recent snow by a day so got some stunning shots.
  In the above picture is Jenny and the dog (Mitzi) she walks for a local elderly resident (Peggy). Both were perfect models on the day and both seemed really pleased to get their award. Mitzi was particularly happy as the photo shoot meant she got an extra walk that day :)

I have only been in business for around 21 month’s but I am slowly started to get regular customers, some really great feedback and regular wedding work. This feels likes such an achievement when I think I only have between 16-20 hours spare each week if I’m lucky. My aim when setting up Envision Photography was to build up slowly so that when my daughter’s gets into full time education I should have enough work coming in to allow me to also go full time, which looks likely. This will also hopefully mean that I will be able to get finished photographs back to customer’s quicker meaning that studio sessions should be completed in days not weeks and weddings in 2-3 weeks rather than 4-6 weeks, or At least that’s the plan. I would like to thank everyone for their continued support and would really appreciate you all continuing to spread the word about what I do etc.
Recently I have had a stand at the Hurstmonceux wedding fair which went really well. I have yet to get a booking from it but have received some enquiries so fingers crossed. This was my first wedding fair so was not sure what to expect but now I am looking forward to next years event and have already started planning my offers.

I am also now advertising with UK Bride so things are looking good in that respect too. I already have 3 wedding bookings for next year but hope to start getting a lot more as I just love weddings.

I am very keen to continue lots of work with charities in the future after some very successful fund raising events in the past few month’s including a fun day in aid of Jack's Dream, a charity prom in aid of  meningitis and epilepsy charities, and continued work for my local Friends of Sure Start group.

All in all I am just so happy being able to be a working mum and show my daughter that anything is possible if you really want it. Again thank you to everyone who I have worked with in the past (or helped me) and to all those I will work with in the future.
